Hi Guys!

Hey, so I just finished up my High School swimming career... :( We did pretty well at state this year though. I didn't go the time i wanted in my individual 50 free, but it wasn't bad. Our 400 free relay dropped two seconds though and I went a 59.68 so thats good. Also, our diver got 5th place in the state! So it was a good finish for a lot of the seniors! :) Now i've started track though, so thats what i'll be doing for the next few months. I am still going to swim on our club team here though so I will be busy, along with school.

I am making the video for our swim banquet, i've already had experience learning from Steph for our family video that you guys like so much, so it will be a lot of fun. Its a newer version though so I have to get used to it but its really fun so far! I like doing it!

Its snowing here right now! I'm definately ready for warmer weather! Well, i have to write and essay and then i'm going to swim practice later! Hope everyone has a great day! ttyl! :)

p.s. Adam and Hayley, that rock and roll video was so cute! It looked like she was having a lot of fun! haha

bye!
Krista

Update from the Roses

Hey everyone!

Quick update from the Roses:

We've been sick for about a week. Adam and I have a killer cold, and its given us both a dry and annoying cough thats much worse at night. Its really not fun. Charlotte was a little sick from some antibiotics I took, but she's better now. Charlotte is eating some solids. So far she's had bananas, rice cereal, apples and pears. I think she likes apples the best. She's a very neat eater just like her mommy. I don't even really need a bib to feed her.

Adam is still busy at work and going to school full time. He got an A on his accounting midterm!

I'm going into my busy time of year because all my kids are getting ready for a solo festival in April. I've decided not to accompany on piano this year though, so if I go it will just be for moral support.

We might go to the Outer Banks in April with our friends Bill and Becky and their daughter Aubrey. It would be our first vacation with friends. Hopefully Adam can get the time off.

I have to go to have my biometrics taken for my new greencard later this month. I hate dealing with immigration, but I don't want to be deported! One of these days I'll become and American citizen.

We are checking out a new church lately. Its Sovereign Grace Church in Fairfax. We're excited because we really like it. We've been looking for a church we can call home ever since Adam was born again a couple years ago, and hopefully this is it! If we decide to become members there Adam will probably get baptized, and we'll do a child dedication.

Hello Family!

Hello all Lance's:
I actually forgot about this blog and decided I better check out who's been on. I see only Mark has been and that was a month ago.

So I will update you on our Lance Family happenings!

This weekend Krista is going to STATE for her 50 free and she's also in 2 relays, the 200 medley relay which she does the 50 free and she's in the 400 free relay which she does a 100 freestyle. We have 9 girls going this year (which is the most we've had since I've been swim mom, 6 years) and our diver should win the top award. I guess we'll see. It's in Fort Collins and Stephanie usually comes to see Krista swim but she won't this year. We are going to see her roommate, Stella and her cat Lillie!

Krista also made "Swimmer of the Year" from our league which is 7 teams. It was awesome and a real surprise to all of us. She gets a plaque. Our swim banquet is March 2 and it's an end of an era for me. I've been doing swim meets for 17 years!! Since Stephanie was 7 years old. Hard to believe. Hopefully, I will still be able to go to some of them if Krista swims at CU on their club team. I'll go to the home ones in Boulder. She has been accepted at CU Boulder and will be studying architecture and interior design.

We have not heard from Stephanie since she left Puerto Rico. She was in Brazil for Carnival (like Mardi Gra here) but she said she had a big test while they were at sea on the way to Cape Town. I'm anxiously awaiting an e-mail from her telling us of her adventures in Brazil. I e-mailed her about Krista's "Swimmer of the Year" and she wrote me a quick e-mail saying she'd e-mail soon. It is only about a month before we go to Vietnam and I'm so excited, I can't wait.

We may be in Ohio the end of July so if anyone wants to come and see us we would love it. We will have to go to Sandusky for a few days (one being Cedar Point for sure) so if anyone wants to join us that would be awesome. Phil Rice's 50th birthday is July 30 and Lisa is having a party for him (hopefully in their new house) so that's why we would be coming back. The girls will be working and Steph is taking classes so I'm not sure how it's going to work for them. We are also going to Lake Powell June 11 or something like that. Then Steph starts her classes at CSU so we won't really see her the rest of the summer.

Larry was in LA yesterday and today, getting home after midnight tonight. He said his deals didn't go too well today. I'm going to send this e-mail to all the family also because it looks like no one is using this blog of Hayley's. Charlotte is getting so big. She is really cute! Hopefully we can see her this summer.

Well, I'm ready for sleep so I will sign off now. Everyone take care and e-mail or blog soon!

Love,
Carol
